Balancing Being a Student-Athlete

When attending Michigan State University, most students just have to worry about organizing their education and social life, but being part of MSU athletics, there is another portion of college life that you have to account for. I play for the MSU ice hockey team and balancing education, athletics and social life has been a tough task. Our team practices from 2-6pm every weekday and then we play games on the weekends. This makes it tough to arrange classes around our set practice times and to get into the classes that you really want to take. This also leaves barely anytime for social interaction.
